The Island Retreat
This lovely home nestled on two forested acres just five minutes from the bustling village of Eastsound is the perfect base to explore all that Orcas Island has to offer. From relaxing on the deck taking in the views as you watch the ships navigate the Straight of Juan De Fuca to hiking or biking the seemingly endless preserved natural areas, kayaking the open waters, paying homage to our native Orca pods or just enjoying a farm to table meal at one of the many amazing eateries on the island, your senses will be filled with all things rejuvenating here in the Gem of the San Juan Islands.
Fully remodeled in 2012, details were not spared in creating a comfortable and relaxing space to vacation and recharge. The main level features a fully stocked open concept kitchen and adjacent dining area with water views. From there you step down into the main living space. The living room is a wonderful gathering space, furnished for visual focus on the expansive view of forest as well as the charming high efficiency wood burning stove. Exposed beams and wood finished ceilings are present throughout. The home proudly showcases unique artwork from generations of islanders and mainlanders inspired by the beauty and mystique of this special place. The master on the main level has a king sized bed, walk in closet and an on-suite bath that features a shower with double heads and travertine finishes. A separate family room is great place for kids to unwind with broad selection of board games, puzzles and DVD’s. What a better was to spend an evening in the famous Pacific Northwest rain then with a movie or game night! Upstairs there are three bedrooms beautifully decorated and offering some of the best views of Crescent Beach and Sucia Island. The bathroom has a large double vanity and tub shower and lots of natural light.

Considering the needs of our guests we’ve appointed this home with all of the necessities to compliment your stay. From luxury linens, towels and cotton products to hair driers, we’ve done our best to make you feel at home.
The kitchen is well equipped for preparing a meal the scale of Thanksgiving dinner to something as simple as burgers on the grill. There’s even an ice cream maker if you feel like treating yourself to something sweet!
